The AI tab allows you to manage your local models and download them. Hillnote runs on a version of Ollama and supports models across Ollama and Hugging face.

Downloading a model

Visit the handpicked tab to download a handpicked model
To download a custom model just copy the ollama command or the hugging face link and paste it in the appropriate input box

Using my Ollama

if you already have ollama running on your machine - just restart Hillnote to switch to your system Ollama. Hillnote checks if ollama is already running on your machine before starting ollama within the app. This ensures there’s no perfomance impact from a duplicate instance of ollama.

Apple intelligence

If apple intelligence is present on a device, Hillnote then offers the same as an option within the App interface 

Configuring temperature and defaults

Settings allows you configure the model temperature, default model, etc.
